Pop star Halsey has released her new single, “The End,” the first from her upcoming fifth studio album. The song is a minimalistic acoustic guitar ballad, reflecting on Halsey’s health struggles. In a social media post, she wrote, “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. Short story short, I wrote an album. It begins with The End.”
Halsey has openly discussed her health issues, including endometriosis, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Despite these challenges, she continues to create music that resonates deeply with her fans.
While she has not confirmed an exact diagnosis, Halsey will donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance.
The new album will be released under Columbia Records, following her departure from Capitol Music Group last year. “The End” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
