Perrie Edwards has just dropped her new Christmas song, “Christmas Magic,” bringing some festive cheer to fans and family alike. Written with Tre Jean Marie, Nina Nesbitt, and Jez Ashurst, the track was inspired by a personal moment when Perrie’s fiancé, footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, had to return to Turkey for work. Perrie wrote the song to cheer up their young son, Axel, and to express her wish for Alex to come home for Christmas.
In a message to fans on Instagram, Perrie explained, “I wanted to write a Christmas song, so I organised a writing session with the most magical humans. It’s about Alex being in Turkey, and I ask Santa to bring him home for Christmas. It’s scientifically proven to bring Christmas joy (by me).”
The song’s release is accompanied by a heartwarming video featuring Perrie, Axel, and Alex celebrating Christmas at home in cozy PJs. The sweet visuals showcase the close-knit family embracing the holiday spirit, making it a perfect addition to the festive season.
“Christmas Magic” is now available to stream and is sure to become a holiday favorite for fans around the world.
