Starship Entertainment’s latest girl group, KiiiKiii, is quickly carving out a unique space in the crowded K-pop landscape. They kicked things off with a bold debut track, “I DO ME,” followed by their first EP, “UNCUT GEM,” which already hinted that this group had something different to offer. Now they’re back with a new two-track single, and it honestly feels like the start of something special.
The new release features “Dancing Alone” as the title track, with “Strawberry Cheesegame” as the B-side. Both songs are total summer vibes, but in their own unique ways.
“Dancing Alone” leans into an 80s-inspired synth-pop sound, with rolling bass lines, shimmering synths, and those classic toms that give it that synthwave edge. What’s really refreshing, though, is the structure. Instead of trimming it down to chase the current trend of ultra-short songs, KiiiKiii gives this track space to breathe. At just over 3 minutes, it has a proper build-up, a bridge, and even a moment of calm before it hits again full force. It’s polished, bright, and super fun.
“Strawberry Cheesegame” is the softer, dreamier counterpart. It’s got this sparkly, slightly quirky vibe that feels nostalgic in a different way. The chorus is light, catchy, and effortless, making the song playful without being too sweet, and there’s something timeless about the way it flows. Honestly, it feels like a track you could come back to years later and still love just as much.
All of this momentum just got a huge boost with KiiiKiii earning their first music show win on SBS FunE’s The Show for “Dancing Alone.” It’s always a big deal for a rookie group, but this one feels especially earned.
